Madison, Indiana

Busking in Madison, Indiana on a beautiful spring day. Madison is a historic river town on the banks of the Ohio in southeast Indiana. It’s a tourist town best known for the 1958 film, “Some Came Running”. The movie was shot there and starred Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Shirley MacLaine. Good movie. During filming, Sinatra became so frustrated with the director that he stormed off of the set and flew back to Los Angeles. 

I met a lot of nice people including a local character named Dan-O who sat with me for a spell, requested a couple of Gordon Lightfoot tunes, took this photo and then ambled off down the street. A nice afternoon.

 

Main Street Wooster (Wooster, Ohio)

The City of Wooster hosts concerts May through October every year.. Three shows a week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I played Thursday night at the downtown pavillion on the corner of Liberty & Market. Cool and breezy but I met some really nice people. Wooster is a great  town. I felt like I was in a Jimmy Stewart movie the whole time I was there. That's a good thing.

Red Fox Tavern. (Mansfield, Ohio)

 

I played the Red Fox Tavern in Mansfield last night. Here is a shot from the stage.  A great neighborhood bar with a great patio.  Thanks to Brandy for booking me to play.

TinCap Hard Cider. (Wilmington, Ohio)

 I played last evening at TinCap Hard Cider in Wilmington, Ohio as part of their weekly Open Mic.show. Here is a picture of me playing. I look alarmingly Grandfatherly!?! Thanks to George Byrd, who hosted the show, and invited me to come down and play. I met some great musicians including Don The Banjo Player and David The Mandolin Player. Last names were not forthcoming. Based on this photo, I was probably known as, Casey The Really Old Guy.

Plain Folk Cafe. (Pleasant Plain, Ohio)

 I performed last night at The Plain Folk Cafe in Pleasant Plain, Ohio. The Plain Folk is about twenty minutes outside Cincinnati. It is known for their incredible gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and as a great live acoustic music venue. Thanks to John & Becky for inviting me to play.
